Another good one from Adriaan Pienaar, who got this picture from Ronnie Kruger, head of Marketing for VW of South Africa in the early 1970s. This shot shows a second 24 hour record attempt (See the 1969 pictures for the first attempt) using the Type 4. The person holding the (old) South African flag is Louis Duffey from the RAC (Royal Automobile Club).
