Adriaan Pienaar managed to get this wonderful shot from Ronnie Kruger, head of Marketing at VW of South Africa in the early seventies. The picture shows Ronnie driving this 1969 2-door 411 model in the 1970 Total Rallye in South Africa, with Peter Fisher in the passenger seat. Note the additional headlights for night driving and the extra fixtures to prevent the front hood from opening.
