Optional factory equipment on Volkswagen cars is identified by so-called "M-codes". I have attempted to cross-reference several sources (with the help of Simon Glen from Australia and Adriaan Pienaar from South Africa) and come up with a reference to all M-codes.
VW Type 4s were produced in several countries and some options were specific to those countries. These are not reflected in this list.
